You tried to record the movie with half-size resolution?
I can say for 99% sure that you wont find a recorder that doesnt lag your game. ![]() |

Yes, limit it to half size, full size is a waste.

My problem with half size in Fraps is that it saves as 512x384 while Windows Movie Maker only accepts 640x480 or 320x240. While the aspect ratio is the same, if you try to save it as 640x480 it gets unacceptably jaggy.
Any way around that or something I'm missing? |

You could always try reducing the actual game resolution to 800x600 by haxing it up, and then recording it full size. Don't ask me how you change the resolution, but apparently it can be done by editing some config files or somesuch.

Yeah, I recorded some video at 1680x1050 full screen.. 2 minutes and 3GB later I decided that wasn't the best plan.
