My background

Born in 1919 to an old and moneyed Boston family, Stevens attended Groton School, then Harvard University, as his father and grandfather had before him. At Harvard he took private flying lessons, and immediately demonstrated a natural aptitude, as well as considerable courage and bravado. His graduation present in 1941 was a Beechcraft 17 Staggerwing, but six months later the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, and Stevens joined the Air Corps. Self-deprecating and generous with his squadmates (his packages from home are always a squadron event), he is a ruthless combat pilot, willing to take risks to take out a designated target. His crew chief may not like the flak and small-arms damage his aircraft sustains, but the CO likes what he does to the enemy on the ground.

That's my MS Combat Sim 3 profile. So far, 5 kills... don;t ask how many planes it took

There are some immersive flight sims out there.

I just love the old DOS B17, it's on the first look a crappy sim like every, but on the second one...sweet. Have to get B17 The mighty 8, it's successor.

Red Baron 3D. Spend hours on this one on my 200MHZ machine that was barely able to run the game at a acceptable speed. There are some other games like this one out there, but i have so many good memorys with this one...

I really have to take a look at more modern ones, but i don't know...those oldies are like an old pair of shoes. You only get rid of them if you can't wear 'em anymore.

I replaced the name by XXXXX, because I used my real name.

Born into an aristocratic Prussian family in Berlin in 1916, XXXXX developed a passion for aviation as a child. His father had flown with Boelcke and Richthofen in the First World War, and young XXXXX was building model aircraft before he graduated to long pants. In high school he became an outstanding student at the Germany's oldest segelflugschule (sailplane school), and set several soaring records for time and distance. He joined the fledgling Luftwaffe in 1935, and at the age of 21 found himself in the Condor Legion in Spain, where he won four aerial victories. Two more kills during the Battle of Britain won him the Ritterkreuz and the rank of Staffelkapitn. Handsome, worldly, and somewhat aloof, XXXXX is idolized by younger pilots, who he always takes time to nurture and instruct. He also has a chivalrous streak: he invites sufficiently undamaged Allied pilot officers he has shot down to dine with him before they are interned.

Great game, but it has bad stability issues.

Don't worry about it Dooly. Neel, didn't know we had a vet running the site. What kind of plane did you fly?

When you get ready to fly against some really good virtual air pilots try this game.

I just got back from Shore Leave. I had a lot of fun hanging around Neil. He even gave me a new picture of himself. I put it on my Avator for all to see!

But that's OK, because I've been to Davey Jone's locker so many times now in my subs, I've got VIP status down there.

As I feared ,Neal is displaying multiple personality disorder. He has for a while been taking on the persona of various Dutch moderators, and is now regressing into a possible previous life experience. His symptoms include poor motor skills,in various flight combat scenarios and wearing attention seeking clothing at public events.
The only treatment is the public shedding of these personalities and the embarrassing clothing
Seventeen aircraft-were you playing with your eyes shut?

Don't bug him, it's not is fault, you and I know that in a submarine you don't need to see in front, I guess it's a matter of time before he realizes that he can open his eyes.:rotfl:
