Career saves won't load. Help!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'd been playing the GW mod for 6 weeks or so, and really loving it. Then one day I tried to load up my career and the game crashed after the save game loaded, but before it started. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rolling back Windows, but it's still the same.

Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong?

I'm not having any problems with any other software.
