What the heck? There's nothing about that PM that couldn't be out here in the open forum where anyone else with your question would be able to see it in the future, as well.
The topic of this thread should be "how do I change the power of deck shells"? Yes, you can edit the shell.zon file with a hex editor and decrease the shell's power. It's been awhile since I did it, but I do think that .zip pack that you downloaded has some fairly detailed location information for actual hex editing. Check the readme.txt or whatever it was that I put in there. There is some kind of "mini" editor that someone has coded that will let you make these same changes to the torps/shells so that you don't have to fiddle around with hex editing. If anyone remembers the name of it, please do post a link to where it's being hosted. |
