Default Tango Bravo Shaftless Drive moves forward

Surfing the strategy page forums, I ran upon an interesting topic

http://www.defensenews.com/story.php...1106&C=america

Looks like the Tango Bravo program is moving ahead nicely... well at least the "shaftless propulation" part. No word of late about the 1/4 sized reactor or external fits weapons.

My guess is that this "shaftless" propulsion has got to be something nuclear electric, with a homopolar, or alternating current electric motor sitting in the aft ballast tank (rather than in the pressure hull). Anyone want to take me up on that bet?
