How do I set up and run a server game .... no one seems to join

do i need a router ? .... do i need to close XP firewall ? help me please cos noone seems to join when i try to run a game

To play online with SH3

you must:

Disable XP Firewall
Or if you are running an other Firewall program that gives you to option to open all ports for that application do that.

also make sure you have Patch 1.4b.
and make sure you run Stock SH3.
