I don't know what to say about your problem on this one but here in the UK immigrates make a B-line to England. It's like we are a magnet for the immigrates I wonder why? something to do with our useless Prime Minister I suspect.

Yeah, Mexico depends on the money coming back from the US. It gets passed around for protection-money, as well as just general trade. I forget exactly, but it was either $4 billion per year, or it was something like $14 billion per year.

Mexico is in serious need of a revolution, just to clear out some of the corruption. We've got corruption problems, too, but not anything approaching Mexico.

Another fun fact about how Mexico treats it's immigrants: Even legal immigrants and natrualized citizens cannot have the same rights as native-born Mexicans, and are additionally barred from certain jobs, making them second-class citizens.

I agree. In fact, more than once, after watching the news I turned to my Son and said America needs a revolution.

It kills me that there are so many people here illegally, that they can protest and infuence laws against them. I mean, it's a rally with thousands of illegal aliens. Check ID's and ARREST THEM! Oh, that's right. Illegal aliens can get drivers licenses. I wonder where they get 2 forms of ID like I needed to get my license?

I've been having problems with this exact thing recently. I got a SS Card but don't have the money for a copy of my birth certificate.

According to the NY State DMV a person needs "6 points" to get a License (four if they have a SS Card) and one form of ID must have the Date of Birth. Theoretically an Illegal could have:
A US High School ID with Report Card, Value 2 points
US Computer Printed Pay stub, Value 1 Point
US Utility Bill, Value 1 Point
A US Bank Statement, Cancelled Check, Cash Card, Major US Credit Card, Value 1 Point (can have several if issued by different institutions)
Birth Certificate, Value 0, Proof of Date of Birth. (In NY it’s only a US or US Territory or Canadian with Mohawk Tribe Photo ID, probably would include Mexican BCs in the Southern US)


All these and some others on the list (the list is a page and a half long) are fairly easy to get in the US.


Lets say we have an Illegal (lets call him Juan) who wants to get a Drivers License. He can produced his High School ID and Report Card, His pay stub, his Utility Bill, a Credit Card, an ATM card, and his Birth Certificate. "Juan" has all 6 points and Proof of Date of Birth. Or “Juan” could produce an ATM card from six banks and his Birth Certificate and get his license.

Web users to 'patrol' US border
A US state is to enlist web users in its fight against illegal immigration by offering live surveillance footage of the Mexican border on the internet.
The plan will allow web users worldwide to watch Texas' border with Mexico and phone the authorities if they spot any apparently illegal crossings.
Texas Governor Rick Perry said the cameras would focus on "hot-spots and common routes" used to enter the US.
US lawmakers have been debating a divisive new illegal immigration bill.
The Senate has approved a law that grants millions of illegal immigrants US citizenship and calls for the creation of a guest-worker programme, while beefing up border security.
But in order to come into effect, the plan must be reconciled with tougher anti-immigration measures backed by the House of Representatives, that insist all illegal immigration should be criminalised.
The issue has polarised politics and US society. Right-wing groups have protested against illegal immigrants, while millions of people marched in support of them last month.

The Texas governor announced his plans for streaming the border surveillance camera footage over the internet at a meeting of police officials on Thursday.
"A stronger border is what Americans want and it's what our security demands and that is what Texas is going to deliver," Mr Perry said.
The cameras will cost $5m (£2.7m) to install and will be trained on sections of the 1,000-mile (1,600km) border known to be favoured by illegal immigrants.
Web users who spot an apparently illegal crossing will be able to alert the authorities by telephoning a number free of charge.
Mr Perry, a Republican, is running for re-election in November.
Deployment dispute
Meanwhile, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has sent National Guard soldiers to his state's border with Mexico, ending a weeks-old dispute with US President George W Bush.
President Bush announced plans on 14 May for thousands of soldiers from the Guard to be sent to bolster security along the Mexican border.
Mr Schwarzenegger had opposed the plan, describing it as a "Band-Aid solution" - or a temporary fix.
He said he did not want to place his state's National Guard soldiers - many of whom would have already served in Iraq - under additional strain.
On Thursday, the governor said he would send the soldiers to the border and the cost of the deployment would be shouldered by the federal government.
Meanwhile, a group of US civilian volunteers that has been patrolling the Mexican border began last week building a fence along a section of the frontier.
The Minutemen group started erecting the fence on privately-owned land in Arizona on Saturday, saying it is "doing the job the federal government will not do".
The Minutemen are allowed to report illegal crossings to border police but have no right to arrest suspects.
Human rights groups have accused the group of xenophobia towards illegal immigrants - but the group denies this.

As a direct descendant of Gen. Winfield Scott, the conqueror of Mexico, the solution is obvious. Bring our troops home from Iraq and march south to Mexico City. There are only two solutions to this problem as I see it. Either union with Mexico under the US constitution and laws or land mines on the border. Union can be accomplished by peaceful means if put up to the Mexican people. Recent polls in Mexico suggest that 50% of Mexican citizens would move to the US if given the opportunity. It is clear from this writer's perspective that the Mexican government has never had the welfare of it's own citizenry as it's priority. Since it does not, the case can be made that it is illegitimate. The current border dispute is rootd in unequal treatment of people by corporations. That is why there has never been a serious effort in the US to stop the employment of illegals in this country by targeting the employers of these people. As long as corporations can get away with hiring illegals for cut-rate wages with a wink and a nod from government, this problem will continue. In fact, recent reports suggests the flow of illegals has increased in recent days as many try to get across the border to take advantage of the amnesty provisions in the latest bills.
