In my Fourth patrol of my current career, U-3 my type IID sub, I sneak into Hartlepool's port under the cover of darkness. AND, its storming so bad that no destroyers see me as I position in the docks, and I dont see them either, but I can here them.
So I see a nice T2 tanker sitting alone at port, so I positon my self 500m away for a perfect 90* Angle for abow shot. Problem is its storming so bad that my watch guys cant get it as a contact on the map. And I didnt want my torps to miss because of the bad weather and then have my position compromised. So I decided to wait out the weather for conditions in my favor so I can sink the tanker and effectivly respond to the destroyers that will close on my position. 2 long boring days of Time Compression, checking on the T2 every hour to make sure he wouldnt pull away. I figured that if he started to move away my sonar guy would inform me of the movement, WRONG ![]() ![]() My watch guys didnt say a peep, my sonar gut didnt say anything, all are well rested. Now im sitting in a port with terrible weather STILL, and the only thing in port is a small Coastal Merchant. I lost my chance on the juicy T2, well IM not leaving this port untill something of equal value comes back ![]() NOT HAPPY |

You Know, I wondor if i've stumbled into some kind of weather glitch, to where it won;t change. Because when I ask my Navigation Officer for a weather report, He says percipitations: None; and its raining like a freakin Hurricane and no amount of TC will change it.

::::EVERYBODY DISREGUARD MY ABOVE POST:::;;
![]() Sorry for the rant. What actually happened was the storm had pushed my U boat just a little out of position from where I was. Causing the Tanker to fall out of my view. And with visibility so bad it looked like it had actually left, I feel so stupid. I went ahead and comminced attack in the bad weather, sunk the T2 with three torps, One was a dud, and used my last one and killed the costal merchant. I am mow on my way out of port. Lets see if these DD's can find me in this massive storm. I can't believe I puled it off, I always play DID ![]() |
