Default My First Patrol / My first Story :)

I,m New to these Forum and I read a lot of Stories around here so I wanted to Try that for myself:

7th Flotilla,
01/09/39
Port: Kiel

I went of on Clear weather, I had to go towards Grid BE96, a darn long way to go. but I had orders so.

At the English Canal the weather turned bad, my Deck Gun and Flak where uselles now.

At night my Hydrophone picked up an Sound that was from an Warship coming towards my dirrection. no detection so I could lay my trap. I had enough time so I used the standart Trap, where the Destroyer will come right in front of your Nose.

I waited 45 minutes, and yes I saw that my calculations where correct, he was going to pass in front my nose about 900 meters far. I set my torpedo's right, and fired the first torpedo at him.

A complete hit in his engine section so the ship sunk immidiatly with just one torpedo nice.

I finally reached Grid BE96
after: Smoked 6 Cigarettes
drank 2 glasses of coke
Ate an Candybar
and red 50 pages of an really boring book

So on my way home...an C2 cargo came in my sight , again at night i followed the Cargo for 30 minutes and got in position and fired an torpedo, again a nice piece of art seeying the ship ''Crack'' into two pieces .

the weather kept on beeing really bad, I didnt pay enough attention that suddently when passing the spot where I shot my first Destroyer , I got an Enemy Plane detected message. I got bombed for about 2 minutes with no damages...lucky. when I came up again to Charge the batteries....I was surrounded by 2 Destroyers...ow No!! 25% of my Battery Left and now this! got Bombed for about 15 minutes and Finally after 35 minutes I lost them...batteries...empty...blowed my ballast and continued on Diesel. Reached the port in one Piece

End patrol

Tonnage : 8142

not bad for my first succesfull Patrol

Congratulation on a successful first patrol.

"Any landing you can walk away from is a good one".-old pilot's saying.

I call any patrol that has that kind of negative excitement and you still survive a great one!

Good story.

My only advice is cut out the junk food. You're going to be on way longer missions and we can't have a rotund Kaleun. You won't fit through the hatch. Try carrots and fruit.
