Default Setting a torp to pop up

Hi

When Sub Launched and wireguided can you get your torp to run below the layer and then pop up.
I don't seem to be able to change torp depth presets once launched?

Thanx

Make your torpedo run at OS depth till it enables, put the enable point close to the target and there you go. Of course you should launch from the opposite side of the layer (opposite to your target). Unfortunatly you can't (with Stock DW) correct the Depth after launch, tho you have to do that workaround.

Ok'but what is making your torpedo change layer depths once it enables?
Why does'nt it just search on the side of they layer it's been travelling at and remain there once it's enabled?

It will go to the depth set in "Search Depth". If that depth is different then OS depth at launch it will change depth once enabled.

Note that some things are different in the latest lwami playtest version - which presumably will be tweaked a bit before release, but I believe the advanced torpedo controls will remain pretty much as they are.

Ok let me get this right?
The Torpedo does not go to the search depth until it's enabled?
I thought the search depth was pretty much where it would go on launch.
So that pretty much explains it.

You right
Torpedo will stay at launch depth until it will enable.
Then, when enabled, the torp will reach the search depth.
If you preenable it again, the torp will come back to the launch depth.
LWAMI next MOD will adress this with a much more realistic and sophisticated way.
