Downed Aircraft

Yet another question if I may...

Is it possible to have the game plot downed aircraft on the map in the same way that ships are plotted?

I've noticed there is a file called data\Menu\Gui\Units\AirDestroyed.tga

but it never appears on the map?

I think it appears on the map in the stock game, but i don't know... :hmm:

Not a bad idea. But I play with map contacts off. I mark sinkings/downings myself. Just mark them...but it _would_ be nice to have an icon.

As far as I can remember, they've never been plotted even after a clean install with no mods.

Hmmmm, strange that the file is there though?

I've never seen thist icon, Even with the stock standard game. After some patrols it would look like half the british airforce had been shot down.
The way some of AI aircraft fly, it would be covered by grey crash icons

Hummm... I never seen that icon either but every so often after I have damaged an air craft, and it flys off it, eventually goes down and I get the enemy destoyed message .... but it gives the sunk ship icon .... only happens every so often .. not always ....
