Black Screen Crash Dive

What a great sim! Ive never had a problem EXCEPT one.

Any time I try to spend time (5min - 15 mins.) on the deck during a storm the game crashes my computer.

The sound loops on the last sound.

Screen goes black and the monitors goes into what seems like standdown mode.

I have to turn computer off... then restart.

Ive turned down the sound acceleration... changed video drivers........changed video settings all to no effect.

running a 3.2intel, 6800gt, audigy2.

been checking old post to find the problem.

Anyone.." been there done that".... any ideas????
