Default Sending patrol reports

Whenever I send a patrol report, I get a response saying "Keep up the good work!" Other than praise, is there any real reason to break radio silence?

Has anyone ever received anything useful in return?

None whatsoever all radio reports you send to bdu will result in a message being returned saying either:-
"be more aggresive"
"keep up the good work"
"return to base"
I as a whole never send status reports or sightings

Does transmitting ever provoke an ASW attack (from RDF-ing the message)? I've never sent enough reports to tell one way or the other.

If you are in the right location, and you send enough contact reports, the Luftwaffe will bomb your target.

Howdy deadactionman,

I believe you actually can change the scriped msgs using SH3Commander's "randomized events" file, see here:

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=51674

I found this about 7 pages back in the workshop forum.

rgds,

I also found that "data\Campaigns\Campaign\messages_en.txt" contains a whole load more messages to change or add to.
