Newbie Question (Well Sort of)
After leaving SC sitting on the shelf due to other obligations when I purchased it two years ago. (Yeah I know, I should be made to clean the bilge pumps), I've finally installed it. I'm having so much fun, that I've installed it on my laptop, so I can have something fun to do, when I'm bored.
On my desktop at home the 3d window is very dark. I can see the towed array, but the sub does not appear to be there. I've tweaked the settings to no avail. Has anyone experienced this problem? I have upgraded to 1.08. Thanks in advance. |

I found the same with the stock game. Upgrade to SCX and the views are much improved. Great fun playing with a large choice of platforms, too.

I dont remember it precisely, but if you look into the ini-file I think you can tweak your gamma there. Search for gamma and ini in this forum (or the old one).

Did you turn off the "caustic effects" in the graphic options?
