New and need to upgrade so advice please

Hello
I got SHII about 3wks ago and love it and now have a copy of SHIII. My desk top does not have a DVD drive. Can it be loaded with out one through a network in which my laptop does have a DVD. If not will it work with an external DVD drive. Thanks for any help. Bioman

I'm not sure about the network thing but the external DVD drive should work fine, check out www.newegg.com for some, they have great prices and excellent shipping. I'd personally just go for a DVD player / burner. If your going to get a DVD player it is not that much more for a burner as well and since a lot of games are coming out on DVD now it would be a good investment.
