Default DD in port?

Hi all,

quick question if you will

I went into the Loch Ewe port at night and in heavy fog and rain, where i spotted a Destroyer, probably Class C. anyways it was docked so i could only get a head on shot, I put my torps on impact and fired and 1 m depth but they all exploded without sinking the ship(and no visible damage). Are ships invulnerable in the docks? The only reason i could think of is that my shooting blows and it might have overshot and hit the concrete, but I tried to counter act that with 1m depth torps but seems not to work. anyways I still haven't sunk it so any help would be nice

Thanks

Yes you can sink ships that are in dock. You need to make sure that when you shoot that the torpedo track will avoid the walls of the dock. It means a down the throat shot and some pre-positioning to make sure they hit.

Good Luck

Be carefult in ports, since in some areas it can be shallower between you and the ship and waste torpedos on the sea bottom!

Hi!

Maybe it was an anti-submarine net? :hmm:

hi, i don't htink so, because i could see the hull from my submerged periscope. anyways i think it was because i was too close, and the torps didn't have enough time to arm up. i tried it again with more success.. actually bumped into a Fiji Light Cruiser in the harbour. i just popped 3 shots, 3 kills and sailing straight out of loch ewe
