Default Pdubya's SH3 Gramaphone Fix

Hello fellow Kaleuns!

I came across the following Gramaphone fix quite by accident one day (typical, but I'm not gonna complain). Like others here and there in the SH3 community, I had constant issues with the Gramaphone refusing to work correctly. I tried MP3s and WAV files, even the "native" OGG format, but still had the same issue with files stopping in mid-play for no apparent reason, skipping songs when they should play in sequence and just all around wonkiness.

Here is what I found out that can be done about the problem- and for the last few months it has worked without any exceptions or special considerations.

Steps to making the Gramaphone glitch-proof:

1) Use the Vorbis .ogg format (convert if needed, see below)
2) You use the following format for the files (quotes denote the start and end of what is actually entered)
a) Music file format: "xxx_filename.ogg" (where "xxx" = a three digit number that can start with 001 and go to at least 400, I haven't tested any higher- don't forget the zeros in the first and second places!)
b) "filename" = most characters seem to work here, for instance - Lili Marlene (Dietrich).ogg works just fine.
Make sure to include a space after the 3-digit number and preceeding the filename, as shown in the examples below.

That is all there is to it!

Here are a few examples from my own files:

005 Achtung Panzer.ogg
010 unser chef ist nicht da.ogg
291 Der_erste Seelord_08.ogg
355 J'attendrai (Rina Ketty).ogg

I used a program called Switch to convert MP3 and WAV files to the OGG format and WavePad to improve the sound quality and noise, etc. Both are made by NCH Swift Sound and can be found at the following site:
http://www.nch.com.au
A free trial is available and they both are easy to use.

Hope this proves useful... :hmm:
