Default SH3 commander problem

Whenever I try and generate a personal file I get the error 'list index out of bounds'
I tried reinstalling and starting a new career. It happens every time. It makes the mod pretty useless now

I have that error when SH3 Commander generated an unsuported html character. Like the double points over the u. I ended up just renaming the html files to make them work.

Out of bound errors seems another type of errors tho.

Are you running Global Explorer's SH3 Generator? If so, simply d/l SH3Cmdr R2.5. It (and SH3Cmdr R2.4.1) includes a "patch" to work around changes that SH3Gen makes to the log files. Without the patch you get the "List index out of bounds" error. The issue and the fix have been well documented.

If not, pls email me your career files (the files located under your "\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\<Cmdr Name>" folder) and I'll have a look.

@Jonz: The error won't be related to the use of international characters - that aspect has been thoroughly tested by both me and a number of Spanish and French users, at least. Mind you, this is the first I have heard of this theory, making it even more important that if you get any type of unexplained error, you let me know so that I can investigate!
