Hi, although I found Wazoo's nomograph great there is still an easier way to calculate the speed of the moving target without the need of calculators, and no pencil or paper either!!

If anyone is interested the fomula that I used (couldn't find a direct conversion so I had to devise one):
Distance(in meters)*6/185.15/Time(in minutes)=Speed(in knots). ![]() |
