Default invisible air attack!

I was approaching the English channel on the surface and had a watch officer plus crew in the turret. I get a message saying enemy aircraft spotted ( the flak gun is crewed as well ). I use the turret view but spot no aircraft and hear no sounds from one. I am then asked if the gun should engage the aircraft ( yes!) but the flak gun doesn't start firing. Then I find the sub is taking damage! Go to free view, scan the sky....nothing!
Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey there Brit Tom! Good to hear from someone familiar. Taking some time off from Combat Mission? This SH III is addicting.

Take care bud.

Hello mate!
Yeah, taking a break from Combat mission ( cruising towards the dreaded channel !! )
Timo warned me about the channel but I'm determined to find a way through it!

**UPDATE**
Well rub me down with a well oiled kipper! After installing the tonnage mod, my saved patrol failed to load ( thrown back to desktop ).
Just dusted down a new boat, trawled the local pubs for some drunken louts to act as crew and I'm heading back to the channel again...... this thing aint gonna beat me this time!

Well if you are in F11 as you say (AA turret mode) well then your in control of the guns yourself, your AI crew will not do squat until you exit the screen and then order them to do whatever you want.
And it also depends what mod your playing out of the box your ok blast them out of the sky til your ammo runs out. GW or IUB you got more chance farting against thunder.

Perhaps the Bermuda Triangle isn't isolated in the Bermuda area?
