Just one question, see thread title... please help me, today I sank for apparently no reason, but I guess it was probably a too low hull integrity. I've seen it in several screenshots displayed and it would help me a great deal.

If it's a stock game then it should automatically unless you have something enable on the realism options I think.
Also if you're using SHIII Commander there's an option to turn the hull integrity rating on/off. |

You have to edit the Menu_en.txt or Menu_de.txt and remove the semicolon on the hullintegrity value (if the mod did not remove the string text value) |

I've RUB installed and No fatigue, apart from that it's the stock game, for the realism settings I would've to look it up, realistic damaged is checked tho...
I couldn't find the entry you're talking about, in de_menu.txt (I guess that's the one you meant, I couldn't find a file named Menu_de.txt) Or I'll just install Sh3 commander... |

I can't remember the entry number, but I think it have been 'commented' by a semicolon. just look with a search tool with your notepad (Ctrl+F) for ; and if you find something related to hull integrity, just remove the ;. If the string value has been removed, I can only suggest to find your original menu_en.txt and search (ctrl+f) keyword 'integrity'. you should be able to get the line and put it back on the moded menu_en.txt. Well of course there's always SH3 commander to do it the lazy way ![]() |

In de_menu.txt or en_menu.txt look for 589= and replace it with 589=HULL INTEGRITY %s %.

Thank you guys, already found it by myself, the entry was empty, that's why I couldn't find it, I then installed SH3 Commander, searched for the entry again, rolled back and put the text in the empty spot.
Thanks again for your help. Oh btw... I had a hull integrity of 46%, damn single destroyers, didn't even do severe damage to any system beyond repair... but it was my fault... watching TV and having the time compression on while a random encounter with a destroyer is no good. |
