Default Best new ships mod ?

Hey fellow captains....

I know there are various mods out there which adds new types of ships to the game e.g. the Large Cargo ship...Please correct me if I'm mistaken...

But what is the best ? I'm currently running the original game with only a few mods like vulnerability and 1 degree scope...

I'm not running IUB, RUB or GW...

Thanks m8...Want to sink some new ships

But I was hoping for only the ships...believe it or not, but the stock game is fine for me.... Just want some new ships....

And it seems to me SH3 Commander does much more than just add ships...

Is it possible to just get the ships or is it me who is playing for more than I can get ?

There's only few ships available. Check on mod sections. The recents might be the Converted Whale Factory and the Coastal Tanker.

I can't think anything else.

New ships are easy to get... the problem is scripting. New ships must be scripted into the campaign layers by campaign builders like Rubini and company. Otherwise you won't see them in action.

This is where the value of the big mods begins to show. Do a bit of reading and you will likely find one that suits your style. The GW mod has scripted several new ships and will be scripting more in the days to come. (I believe we've scripted 12 new ships... to include the Scharnhorst, Tirpitz, Essex Aircraft Carrier, some new merchants etc.)

Hmm...Looks good...Maybe I should grap a hold of myself and get the GW mod....Just got the Nr. 1 sales speech

Only problem is I like the original SH3 too much...is there any large modifications in GW ? Just short please :P

If you are still using stock SH3 there is no way that you will not like grey wolves... how could you possibly think stock SH3 is better!!!?? Better camapign files, textures, new ships, terrain mods, gameplay tweaks... way too much to mention.
Anything you don't like you can always change. I changed some of the sound and music back for example...

Well believe it or not, some people like to keep the integrity of the original game. I, for one, am one of those people. The only thing I have is the Harbor Traffic and SH3 Commander, and all I use the commander for is the personnel file, adds depth to the game for me.
