can't continue a career

i just start a campaign (or career) and although i have complete the mission objectives and return to base i cant continue the campaign

Well i can only load a previous save from the first mission.
I return to the base but the mission doesn't end

push esc and exit mission. if you are witihn 30kms from the base youÂ´ll have a text dock at. (yourbase) click that...voilÃ¡. If you are longer ways away and exit patrol youÂ´ll return to home base but donÂ´t get renown from it...also this "warping" isnÂ´t really fun as of immersion but suit yourself...

some radio message says to be more aggressive with british warship but i attack only 1 warship and 2 merchant.Is this possible to be the reason that i can't end the mission???

As other people are saying, make sure you are within 30km's of home port and make sure that you are surfaced. Then press "esc" and go exit patrol.

There will be a summary screen up then where you can click in the left bottom corner on either "continue mission" or Dock at harbor

Click at "Dock at harbor" If you can do all this then it means you completed your patrol.

About the radio messages,

In the stock game I've seen only 1 message saying that the hostilities started between England and Germany. After that no more messages unless you send a patrol report, then the only messages you will get back are "Be more aggressive" and "Excelent work" and "return to base". This all depends on if you allready hit a target or not and if you still have torps or not.

The other radio messages you get only with certain mods installed.

But they all have in common that they have nothing to do with the mission which is only to patrol a certain grid. It doesn't matter wether you complete your mission or not, you are always able (unless you are death) to return to port and dock the both the way as described above.

Do you mean that the assigned patrol grid is the same? Then yes, that's supposed to happen. That's one of the biggest complaints around with the stock SH3 game: not enough variety in missions. It'll change every now and then, and with u-boat upgrades (with increased range) and of course when you transfer flotillas.

A lot of people go to their assigned grid, do the 24 hours, then after that go wherever they want to (like the famous "hunting grounds") to use up their torps or until they run out of fuel. You want to complete the assigned 24-hour patrol grid assignment no matter how boring that grid is, because you get renown for doing so.

There's also a couple of mods out there that give you more mission variety. SH3 Commander mod lets you assign your own patrol grids, so you can go where you want to and get renown for it.

I have the same problem as you guys,Every time i complete a patrol and surface and push key to return to base,the game returns to the game loading screen and will not save.It just says i have died.Is this with usuing the game patch.....

Try sailing to the end of the harbour or just a few feet and see what happens when you hit esc.
Your next patrol should be "NULL"
