A good, balanced damage mod ?

The problem is... I`m not quite satisfied with the damage model of my U Boat. IN most cases I suffer hardly any damage, but when I get it it`s soon getting serious.
Plus, repair times are way too short, even in cases of severe damage it is a question of a couple of minutes, not hours. In addition - I get either no leaking or so severe flood that I need top fight desperately for live. Not much in the middle, to say so.

The question is: is there a mod, either released or work-in-progress that deals with repair times and makes the flooding and staff a little more balanced ? Less 0-1 conditions ?
