Default Chief Engineer 3D image problems

I just started a campaign 10th flotilla. IXC boat.

I noticed that the chief engineer hardly moves at all in this boat. In the Type II, he is overlooking the planesmen, but in the IXC, he just stands there..... .

In the type II, When you click on him, he turns around, in the IXC, he just stands there like Frankenstein....

Is there a way to fix this as it is pretty wierd.....as it is a gameplay problem when ships are detected....he then moves behind the planesmen, when the danger is past, he then becomes the frozen statue at attention....

SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY!!!!

Frankly, I think the entire crew resembles a gang of axe-murderers. I love the way the Watch Officer glares at me when I order him up on the bridge. Interrupt your beauty sleep? Planning mutiny perhaps?

Don't trust 'em. I sleep with a Luger under my pillow.

I noticed my CE gets excited and grabs the pole sometimes during tense action or crush depth dives in my VIIB. Does he do anything like that in the IV?

My CE does the same thing in my IXC. But he occasionally checks the gauges over the Helmsman. He does grab the pole poses like a Nosferatu vampire with the way he stands there and by the way his hand and fingers move.

I have IUB installed and all of my crewmen look really pale. I've known some seriously pale white people who worked around nuclear reactors while I was in the US Navy, but they don't hold a candle in the wind to my crewman!

I think once they occupied France, they were overwhelmed by the sudden introduction of comlexion-changing facial cosmetic cold creams, and they overdid it. And don't forget the scurvy!

That's a perfect example sober. :rotfl: :rotfl: That his right eye is staring somewhat inboard of his left is enough to make me wonder what mental institution they shanghaied these guys out of.

Lol i :rotfl:

think that the kriegsmarine is running out of sailors and are using people from mental intitutions or from castle of wolfenstein

first officer Annibal lecter, norman bates as a engineer, and dr frankenstein as a doctor ,Jack the Ripper torpedo men.

It seems this 'behavior' is only prevelent in career mode. I did some tests and in the single missions, once a command is given to the chief in other compartments other than the control room, he then takes his place behind the plansemen.... :hmm:

I am currently running a IIa career. The chief stands next to the planesmen. And when you click on him, he turns around....looks alot better than the "frankenstein" chief.

Sadly, it seems that the chief acts this way in all types in career mode, except the IIs :hmm:

In single mission mode, after you give him a command, he takes his place behind the plansemen as it should be.....

Why does this not work in career mode??? :hmm:

Wish someone could fix this as it is really annoying...takes away from the sim
