Default Convoy dropped out of the sky

I was on patrol in grid AL67. I recieved a radio contact update of a convoy to the NW of my position moving E/NE. I went to full speed and relocated to a position to intercept the convoy. I went to periscope depth and listened but heard nothing. I started back along the most likely route the convoy was on still at PD and slow.
About 20 minutes later With No Warning I simultaneously recieved a radio contact update of the convoy at my position and sustained a collision with a flower corvette. My hydrophone operator was also starting to report sounds of merchant engines. Tried to crash dive but the corvette began dropping charges and it was all over. Where did these guys come from? It seemed they literally dropped from the sky. Maybe it was a secret British stealth weapon.

Below is a rare picture of the Luft-Konvoi being tested by a specially modified Wellington off the Suffolk Coast at the Orford Ness testing grounds.

Now you see why Oberon was kicked out of MI6. He just can't keep a secret.

Show me any WWII-era plane that could lift 750 tons of ship and I'll give you my life savings.

Did this happen while you were using time compression or were you playing at 1x when it occured?

Perhaps some of these pictures can add to the discussion.

Especially notice the airborne patrol craft.

I believe you are all mistaken. The British got hold of a Klingon cloaking device, uncovered from a foiled attempt by the Klingons three hundred years from now to go back into Earths past and destroy the human race.
