Default Super Hydrophone

Am I just being stupid or wouldn't it be impossible to detect ships that have land between you and them on a hydrophone?!!

Never ran across that before. I wouldn't think so unless you have a boat that super cavitates

It is a game bug. I don't believe there is a fix for it, but could be wrong. It's one of the things we've learnt to overlook.

Blue, try the Scapa Flo single mission, as that's where it shows the worst.

In real life it would be impossible to detect ships thru land.

The end of the line isn't exactly where the sonar contact is, it ends some time before it and the sonar does not, to my understanding, hear through land.

The ship in the first picture was definately the other side of the land, as it was a stupid destroyer than sank itself after running aground!
