You guys are forgetting that it is illegal in Germany to publicly express or show anything related to the Nazi party.

actually the buddhist swastica's symbol for peace points to the left. hitler's turns to the right.

That BS. Where are the historically correct Nazi flags? It is annoying to censor history in my book.

That´s not true.

Article 86a of the German penal code states:

1. There is a charge of up to three years in prison or a financial fee for:

- publishing symbols of an organization hostile to the constitution, or using these symbols publicly in meetings or publications

- importing, exporting using, publishing, distributing or producing items with these symbols domestically or internationally.

2. symbols are flags, buttons, uniforms, slogans and forms of greetings. Included are variations that are extremely similar to the original ones.

3. Excepted are the use of these symbols for public education, prevention of hostile actions against the constitution, the use in art, science, schooling, news reports, historical reports and the like.

Notice how "Video games" and "entertainment" aren't in the list of exceptions?

Beside, a lot of people would be very, very uneasy buying the game if it had the swastika plastered all over the place.

Nazi symbols are also generally allowed in "entertainment", like comedy shows, TV series, movies and comics. I really don´t know why they aren´t allowed in games.

Hmm, anyone not seeing the difference between German WWII swastika and other older swastikas need to visit the doctor.

Swastikas are very offending to many people. I for one would have not bougth SHIII if it had swastikas in it.

Is it illegal to show non-tilted swastika in Germany? As I´ve understanded it, the tilted one is the symbol of the nazi party.

i.e. the finns used the non-tilted swastika on their planes, called the "Rosen´s cross" or something like that.
