Default Blinking Command room lights Type IX-FIXED! Particle setting

This has probably been asked before (I did a search-didn't find anything)

Is there a fix for this bug of the cabin lights going on and off?

Very strange lol

It's like being at a bad disco club

Ok I think I found a bandaid fix here:

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopi...ng+lights+type

looks like the only fix us to use a type VII or any other interior besides the type IX

*sigh* oh well

I'm just curious. Is your particle density setting on anything other than 100? I had the same problem, and for some oddball reason if I had it below a certain number my IX lights would go on and off in a pattern.

Hmm ya I am- 80%

I'll set it higher and see if that fixes it. Thanx for the tip.

The rest of you comedians, carry on

EDIT:

BINGO!!

Set it back to 100% particle density and the lights stay on!!

Well done Strelich!

You should post your fix in the sticky thread at the top of this page :|\

Thank you!

Now I will see how much I can reduce it back towards 80% density without causing them to blink again
:hmm:

I'm glad I could help. It took me many an install and test to figure out it wasn't any mod at all, but that setting. The setting does change the blinking rate, as I can set mine to 0 and the lights won't be on at all.

I think I posted it in one of the bug stickys awhile ago, though. At the time, only one other person had reported the problem before it happened to me. It is a rather amusing "red alert" kind of effect at night, though.

Understood Strelich

Well it tried increasing the density by 5% incriments from 80% to 100% and have found the lights only stay on at 100%.(And yes I restarted the game every change like it asks)

Thanks for your tip agian Sir!

Think I'll throw on the Bee Gee's 'How DEEP is your love?' disco ballad and do a patrol.
