Default Time compression and radio contacts

I can't seem to figure out a way to return time to "normal" as soon as I receive a radio contact report on the nav-map. If I take my eyes of the screen for a few seconds I sometimes find that by the time that I bring time back to "normal" manualy, the radio contact info is allready 1 hour old or so.

When I get radio messages (that show up on the "m" screen) those bring time back to normal automaticaly... but where do I tweak the program so that the same is true for those radio contacts that just pop up on the nav-map without any "m" screen message?

I guess I could avoid all this if I just played the game in "real-time" hahaha :P

If you use SHIII Commander you can set your TC for messages received. Click SH3 Options/Time Compression and find in the list, When receive radio report. Set it to 1 and you'll won't miss them time wise with TC.

That won't work for the ones he is talking about GT. The ones he is talking about are the ones that just appear on the map without the radio message received notification. Those I know of no way to drop the TC down on. :hmm:

Radio question....just installed harbor traffic for real uboat 1.45 and I'm not getting as much radio traffic as I did before I installed HT with just RUB1.45....did this lighten the amount of traffic? I hardly am getting any messages I have been at periscope depth in day and surface at night....and I have been up to scapa flow and almost back without any radio messages.....I had about 4 messages as I left port with just RUB =before I started new career after install....is it because my radio man is inexperienced to pick up traffic? or did soemthing change and I need to go back and update the radio traffic....he has just reported one warship from command hq....but, I am not getting any of the war news or anything else....I use time compression alot but, i don't think this should effect the messages I should be receiving....

There may be a couple different files to chose from that will enable more radio messages. Look in the campaign folder of the HT mod, there should be some text files there(I have 1.46) I believe these will change the number of messages you get. Some players did not like the heavy radio messages because of the frequent drops in TC.
