I am in a campaign mission, and wanted to stop off at the last friendly port to top up my diesel before going around the top of Scotland and down past ireland (grr being transfered to kiel).
When i drove into a friendly blue port, it was deserted. No one to be seen. How do I wake up the local harbour master to give me some juice? The harbour was there, just no traffic and no people on shore. I pulled up along side a nice looking dock and stopped the boat, but no resupply. |

Get Rubini's latest version of his Harbor traffic mod.
Also includes milk cows, so you can resupply in the ocean, not just in port . |

The orginal game has alot missing. Or should i say, the community has buffed and polished the game over time.. or is that both.
Why should you get mods? Mods range from graphical improvements to bug corrections to gameplay improvements (both in the gamey and realistic direction of the scale, take your pick) For example, take a gander at this thread. This is WAY better then stock. http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=46429 OR check out some of the screenshots in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopi...er=asc&start=0 Of particular intrest to you, i beleive is this thread, look at what it adds to the game: http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=46447 To get started, D/L this: (this is a must have) http://members.iinet.net.au/~jscones...ucts/jsgme.zip EDIT: (This is nice, i highly recommend it.) http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=47413 and look over this thread, (it hasnt been updated inawhile) http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=30638 But it is found in this forum: http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=41 and just about every mod made by the community can be found here: http://u-boot.realsimulation.com/ |

Thanks for that information. I have the IUB mod loaded which has the harbour traffic mod (heavy traffic). So assuming I have this loaded, how can I get some loving in a friendly port?

Exit game, then dock at port. Your current "Patrol" will end and when you put to sea again you will have a "NULL Patrol" with no area to goto but are now "Free Ranging it" (go any where you damn well like) .

Just to add to Cdr Gibbs
Don't forget to pick medals / promotions at the MilchKuh or else you will lose them. Just as in any "normal" base! VonHelsching |
