Default AI in quick missions

Greetings, my fellow subsimmers!

I have a little question about the quick missions. I like those kind of missions to practice with the various platforms, mostly to improve my TMA. BUT, not matter what I do, the AI never seems to be a real challenge in these missions. I always seem to detect the others subs (in ASW missions) first, get a decent firing solution first, and launch my torpedoes first. Quite often the enemy sub doesn't even counterfire a fish in my direction. Since I like the Kilo, this is probably the sub I've played most quick missions in, and I've sank pretty much every other sub including 688Is and Seawolves, usually without breaking a sweat.

Yesterday evening I played a quick mission (on "hard" difficulty) and sank two 688Is and a Collins. During the 50 minute fight only one torpedo was fired at me, which I easily avoided.

I haven't installed the beta patch yet, since I wanted to wait for the official release. Neither have I installed a mod.

Is there a way to have the AI act more aggressive and smarter?

Suggest you try loading the LwAmi mod, it makes sonar work more difficult and the enemy AI more responsive.
