I made new low-contrast recognition manual pages for
Additional_merchants_v2.0 and HospitalShipMod_v1.07 mods by removing guns and stuff from orginal ships pages. unfortunately don't have orginal bright pages to work with so this is only for Harbour_Traffic_1.47 or darker recognition manual mods user can have them from http://rapidshare.de/files/10755441/Rec_man.rar.html Smal thing but make me happy, Thanks to Sergbuto and Iambecomelife for fantastic mods |

Sounds interesting. What program did you use to edit the .tga's? I am working on some new ships and have not yet decided to best way to make new images for the ID manual.

I used photoshop, I don't know about any free phograms for editing .tga files but i hope that some egsist.
Also I find that is no visible loss of quality during converting to .bmp format and back for recognition manual pages. I used ACDsee(also comercial) build-in tool to format convet. I think it will be easier to find in the net free .tga-to-somthing converting tools then free .tga edit program |

What about ArcSoft Photo Studio v. 5? I usually use that for making minor changes to skin tgs's.

I dunno, I've never tried that one before. Right now, I'm using Photoshop CS2.

Oh whoops. Ash, I missed the part where you said you used photoshop...
Gimp is not better than photoshop... Hehe But I would recommend Irfanview. You can use it along with Photoshop or any other graphics program. Irfanview is a free graphics editor program that makes working with screenshots a painfree experience. You can get it here: http://www.irfanview.com/ It has one of the best BMP-to-JPG conversions; much better than even Photoshop. It'll even help to reduce the size (harddrive size) of your images. It's really good for making pictures so that you can post online. Just look at this: No jpg distortion, no color banding, great quality ![]() From a different game, but you get the idea... ![]()
