Default Academy-Torpedo-Manual Mode?

Is there a way to go into manual mode in the Academy Torpedo Training section. When I get to the recognition manual and try to check the proper ship ID, nothing happens and thus cannot progress to complete input for manual set-up.

Thanks,

Rick

Just apply new realism settings for a single mission.
They will be used on next academy run.

Not quite sure what type of problem you are having. One problem I was having was not getting any confirmation of having a ship in my crosshairs to even update with ship recog. books. You could cheat a little and use the lock "L" button when scopped on a ship or I found a little trick in the torpedo training academy. Go to your hydrophone station. 9 out of 10 times it isn't even pointed in the direction you are looking at. Swing the wheel until it is on the same bearing as you are looking thru the scope and the generic ship description will usually show up on the notepad. From here it can then be narrowed down with recognition manuals.
Not sure if that is what you where asking for. Sounded a little like what I was going thru.
