im using 1.4b and rub 1.45.
reloading my deckgun is counted in minutes, not in seconds. ive tried to use my best men at the gunnery position, but still it takes a looong time to reload. i do not know if the original reload timer in 1.4b only, is accurate, but nevertheless it shouldnt take more than a few seconds to remove the old shell and insert a new one. At least if a chain of men is used to transport shells from the interior of the uboat to the deck. so... can anyone tell me the rationale behind the long reload timer ? regards nappy |

There has been alot of discussion around this. I dont personally understand why the reloading takes so long, but its supposed to be realistic.
Someone had sm files that could make the reloading time shorter but I use the long-load method. Actually, I was today forced to sink a Large Cargo with my 88mm and it took bout 2.5 hours (real time). But finally the sucker sunk... ![]()

havin read the suggested thread i can understand taht they have lowered the damage done with each shell, but havin changed to 60 second reload time as well seems a tad drastic, but then again i have no idea how it
was in reality ![]() nappy |

Uboat.net reports that a good gun crew could fire a shot every 15 seconds...so I just lowered my settings to every 20 seconds using SH3 Commander.

SH3 Commander is a wonderful addition to SH3.
It has options that allow some of the following.. Random Merchant skins based on time period(Merchant Variety Pack) Simulates real career length Simuate of realistic crew transfers(you'll loose crew menmbers to various reasons) Options for what fatigue model you want to use Adjust the fogginess of the water to your own taste Wave height adjustments Deck Gun reload time options And alot more... You can get it here and check it out.. http://www.beerymod.com/SH3Cmdr23.exe |
