Default Deck Gun reload time with Ru 1.45

Wow

The reload time seems really long with Ru 1.45.

Is this reload time accurate?

BTW I run Win98SE so I can't use SH Commander 3 to mod the time.

It´s impossible to make accurate reload time, because the weather and sea state dont affect the time it takes to reload a new shell to the gun.

If I remember right, the reload time is long, so that we won´t blast every ship we see with it. It was used to finish crippled ships and small boats.

If you don´t like the reload times, read this:

You can also use timetraveller´s "Mini Tweaker":
http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3sdk.htm

Open the GUNS_SUB_sim tweak file and change the reload time in both 88mm entries.

If this is too complicated for you let me know what reload time you want, I will then change the file for you and upload it.

Also if you use SH3 Commander it has the ability to change the reload times to anything you want built right in to it.

Well i edited as you said above. And The GUNS_SUB.sim shows a new file date in my SH3/data/library folder which means the file was edit but reload times have not changed..

Any ideas?

As I wrote, there are two 88mm entries, the second entry is at the end of dropdown list. You probably have only edited "88mm_UDeck_Gun_High_Body (105)", that´s the 105mm deck gun.

I edited both guns

Does the reload time value have to be the same in both?

For the 105 the orginal vallue before the edit was 72

And the value for the 88 at the end of the list was 60

No! Try the changed reload times with a single mission, it could be that it doesn´t work with an in-game save.

I found that when I used TT's Tweak Tool to change the zoom levels of the Binoculars and Ops Scope that I had to remove the backup file that the tool creates in the directory. At least it only worked that way on my system.

Once the backup file was removed from the directory then my tweaks actually worked.

So try doing that as well and remove the backup files.Dont delete them just move them out of the folder.
