Default User controlled ship

This is my first post on this forum, I read through some of the SH3 Mods Workshop pages, but I didn't saw something about user controlled ships, which I think are not that hard to make.

I think it basicly is about making new ship models. Some of the submarine data could be used, such as the navigation map.
So a new bridge model should be developed, in which some of the Sub elements could fit, such as compas etc.

A ship has more guns than submarines, so some new 3d of a crew sitting near a large gun. It would be great when you could switch between all guns. I think basicly this is place a lot of deckguns on the ship and remodel it.
What would be new about weapons is that you will need something to launch depth charges, which won't be to hard i think.

You even could still use the diving of the uboot. When someone models a cargo ship which you could use, you could sink your ship for max. 3 metres, so you will be more balanced.
When this is implented it would be possible to make a mission in which you have to go from Wilhelmshaven to Brest to deliver cargo etc.

I know this story isn't complete and not detailed, but I hope some modder could make this. I'd love to leave my harbor in my brand new Type 33 Destroyer and go to sea hunting on concoys, which I could spot with my sonor or radar, while standing on the bridge...
