Default I for one would like to have the option of........

1:True full motion first person point of view with the ability to roam every compartment on every submarine portrayed in the game.
2:Ability to signal enemy and friendly ships with lamps and radio.
3:Have access to an assortment of small arms and the posibility to dispatch and accompany if desired, boarding parties.
4:Be able to engage the enemies of nearby vessels who are shooting at you with their small arms.
5:Have the option to start your career as an ensign or Lt. JG and be the low man on the totem pole or "bitch" until you've earned a command. (or be the XO who assumes command mid patrol should the skipper buy the farm from gunfire or even a concussion ala run silent run deep).
6:Have a real "abandon ship" option with yes "lifeboatsresulting in a cinematic capture, rescue or a victim of the sharks.
7:A horrofic implosion sequence at crush depth as opposed the mundane screen of death. (I've heard that instead of drowing in such a scenario, that due to the extremely rapid change in pressure the air onboard actually catches on fire)
8:Fish enemy survivors out of the water who upon interogation, give up information like when the next convoy or task force sails from nearby ports.
9:Have a team of frogmen onboard who can be deployed to for special assignments like sabotage, recon etc.....
10:Have a genuine officers club with a "vip" room that incorporates some hotty anime floozies.

Bonfleck, your #10 reminds me of GTA: San Andreas with their Strip Club in Los Santos when you can go into a back room with a personal strippers.

Everything sounds very nice except point 9, sounds unrealistic for the WW2 era. I doubt that submarines had frogmen teams do conduct spec-ops missions. But all the other things I would gladly see in the game, especially numer 1.

Default not to sure

Some of those ideas are nice...I like the idea of actually seeing your boat get destroyed and I like that idea of capturing sailors for info...but many of your ideas don't really work in the era or the size of the boat...some of those ideas would make a fun stand alone game that really does not emphasise realism.

I would like to see us be able to eject debris, oil to try and fool the enemy that I am sunk.

Number one is number one on my list of new features I'd like to see.

Roaming every compartment. OK. FPS-style movement? No thanks.

Thank you.

Boarding parties from subs were extremely rare, so I don't think so.

You can - you have torpedoes, a deck gun, and at least one machine gun or flak gun (/smartass)

I'd like that, too. Abandoning ship results in either capture, death, or rescue, depending on the situation. None, some, or all crewmen live, the rest get captured or killed.

Cutscenes would actually be nice, methinks. Sure, you'd click past them in anger if they were too long, but if they were only 3 seconds long or so, I'd love to have them.

Chances are high they wouldn't know that. And if the Pacific was like the Atlantic when it came to POWs, submariners were under orders to never take prisoners.

For special missions? Yes, I suppose that during a career, I'd like a "deploy/rescue a marine team" mission once in a while. Always? No thanks. Nice for games such as X3 or BCM GE, but not here.

Why not? It'd add atmosphere to have crew that's off-duty sit there eating, reading, or suggesting the tying-together of nose-hairs.
