Default RUB/16k Match

I've been using the 16k mod, and love it, but I also like the underwater view with the early fog (about 20-30 meters) that came with the latest RUB. If I use the Scene.dat file from RUB I get black skies; if I use the one from any 16k mod I get regular water.

Has anyone done a Scene.dat file that enables both?

You can fix this one of two ways.
1. Use SH3 Commander to set underwater viewing distance.

2. Use TimeTravler's MiniTweak Utility to set your underwater viewing distance.

I used the second method and it is real easy.

Both methods are really good. Do what Panama Red says.

D'OH!!!

I have the latest SHIII Commander and I didn't even notice that option. Now I have to go home and look again.

Thanks.

I think.

Okay, now I've looked. I see an option for changing the water density, but not the distance at which the fog starts. the version I like has water that is crystal-clear, but fades at about half the length of a type VII; you see the bow perfectly, the deck gun not so much so, you can barely make out the conning tower and after that nothing. Meanwhile I've just set my density to 5 and I'll live with it unless something better comes along.

So exactly what kind of "fogginess" are you looking for? Maybe I can help (maybe..)

There are two values in scene.dat that adjust the starting and ending water fog distances IIRC. You might have to adjust them manually.
