Midway strategy game

Back when I frequented these forums more regularly (IE, when Sub command and SHII were in) there was a WWII naval strategy game in development that had superb graphics called Midway or something... Was it ever released?

I remember that it was already drawing some flak for inaccuracies and gameplay issues.
