Hello!
I have a Athlon 2600+ 1 GB RAM ATI RAdeon 9800pro and the Game runs on 60FPS. If a Ship is exploding the FPS falls to 30 FPS and if I see a Convoy,my FPS are 30-40 FPS. What FPS do you have??? Greetings! |

My system is as follows..
Motherboard= ASUS P5P800 CPU= P4 3.0Ghz 800Mhz FSB RAM= 1024MB PC3200 DDR GFX= Nvidia 6600GT 128MB card SOUND= Audigy 2ZS Gamers I get around 130fps +/- 10-20fps while playing depending on what is going on. I never drop below 60fps when in 3D view. The only time I drop to lower framerates is when in map view at high time compression and a convoy or ships are nearby. |

Just a quick note on FPS...
Anything consistently above 23 is good. This is the point where the human eye ceases to distinguish between individual frames. |

When you want to compare framerates it´s also very important to post the anisotropic filtering/antialiasing settings, display resolution and the mods that you are using!

Framerate seems to be a quite subjective matter. I generally find below 30 fps in an "idle" situation unplayable and only above 50-60 is comfortably smooth for me. I've always preferred speed to eye candy as the better graphics just don't pay off if they are too slow.

nvidia set on high performance. I had thought that the eye could only see about 20 or so fps. isn't film like 16 frames per sec? :hmm:

FPS it seems is NOT all that important. What is important is how Fluid images are(at least to me) I
