Default Hi, no fish left, will it sink?

Hi all, my first post.

Full realism except event camera... for learning to aim better...

I'm on my first patrol, I had one torpedo left...
Cargo ship, C2 spotted...
From periscope depth...I got perpendicular and close to target, I charged to full speed, at about 500meters... I fire my torpedo...

Boom, its hit, center... hour later its back end is low and its front end is high. There is weather, water waves go over the back of the ship sometimes...

Is it going to sink or not?
Previously while just learning, I did the time-compression and 3 days later a ship was still there. Planes had come, so I went underwater and time-compressed there. I tried ramming the dam C2 and neither I nor the C2 recieved any damage - instead I drove up over / through it. My crew's morale I think dropped some.
So this time, before I time-compress and tick off my crew, will the ship sink or not???
