For British TV viewers: Rome

The first in a epic eleven part series starts this evening on BBC2 at 9pm. Anyone who likes a little historcal drama of the swords and sandals variety might find this interesting. At the very least it cuts out a little of the constant reality tv rubbish that clogs the tv program listings.

I know. My wife asked me what on earth I was watching. I replied a swords, sandels, bums, and boobs historical drama of course.

Saw the trailer and it appeared to be a cross between ''Carry on Camping' or 'Up Pompei' Where was Frankie Howard ?

Will give the video a run though as I caught sight of some good battle scenes and interesting combat formation tactics.

But the 'bumping and humping' looked old hat and old tat ! Of course I must sit through it to assess its 'artistic' worth.

All eleven parts ..................
