Update on U-505 Gramaphone Record List

Hello fellow Kaleuns!

As I stated in a previous post, I recently visited the U-505 exhibit and asked the tour guide about obtaining a list of the 87 records found aboard the boat when it was captured. The guide gave me the name of the U-505 curator to contact. I sent him a letter to tell him about our SH3 community and to obtain the list. Here is the response I received:

"Thank you for your letter

We are currently re-assembling the phonograph collection from several sources. The effort is in its early stages. We hope to release a CD or DVD of the recordings when we are finished. At this time I cannot supply any further information but please be sure to stay in touch".

I'll do just that and report back any progress.

I sent an email to the museum to get the same info, but have as yet received no reply. Sounds like they are working on it though.

Having that CD would be absolutely perfect for SH3.
