Reinstall Problems

Hi guys, just updated my computor, and even though I backed up every thing, I still had to reinstall the game. Now I have down loaded all the patch's and went to install them , patch 1.1 went in fine, but then I could not install 1.2, or 1.3 or 1.4.
So i uninstalled evrything, and reinstalled the game, this time I tried 1.2 first it installed fine but again 1.3 and 1.4 would not install, so can I go straight to 1.4 ? if so will install all the other patch's ?

You only need patch 1.4b.

Have you searched The Community Manual for "reinstall" and followed through on all the finepoints there?
