Default To all the modders involved with IUb...

Decided to take the plunge today...been running with standard RUb and since IUb contained it, I figured it couldn't hurt to throw into the mod mix.

All I can say is wow, and thanks...this game would not have been successful without all these mods.

Ahh HAH!!!! CAUGHT YOU! Lol

.... and THAT is how it all starts! You apply one little/big mod and you are HOOKED. You see one thing or another that you think can be done or made better/harder/ tougher/ stronger... and you set out to fix it.

"Adapt and Overcome" right?

Which leaves you wondering... was I right about that? SO... off to the bookstore you go... because you want to KNOW more... which leads to another modification... which leads to another BOOK!

(Welcome to your new addiction Marine.)

Without really noticing it, you wind up gobbling up everything related to U-boats, relevant ships, the nature of the battle, and the men who fought it.

... and you find yourself contemplating the proficiency of DESTROYER CREW ASW SKILLS... :rotfl:

Cheers! Marine... welcome to the club!

Welcome to the club. When I saw this thread I decided to have a look at my mods folder. It's size is a whopping 4.90GB!! Keep in mind this is AFTER the computer crashed and I lost all the mods I had before then. Also, in the mods I lost, those dated back to patch 1.2 versions. If I had all the old versions of mods along with the new versions, my folder would be even bigger!

Oh, I've been modding for awhile...using this, switching it out with that...but IUb is the best combination I've seen so far. My mod file is pretty large (if they come out with another patch, I'm going to puke).

Concerning the previous post about destroyers, I was out of line there. Must have been having a bad night or something...every now and then the jarhead comes out and he isn't very polite.

I've already spent a good deal of time reading books and other assorted materials about the U-Boat war. My personal favorite thus far is Iron Coffins (Werner). Provides a very human touch to the story. U-505 was ok; I think it was written by an American, however, and I prefer having the German perspective on the North Atlantic battles.

What I'm looking forward to right now is Deamon's WWI sim...don't know all that much about that time period.

Glad you're enjoying it. Of course all the really hard work was done by the individual modders whose work is included in IuB.

I should get around to releasing the updated version tonight - lots of things fixed and added to!

I'm eager to try IuB and know nothing about it for the moment. I hope a version can be released this weekend with a list of the modifications IuB makes up to that point.
