Default What the FLOODY BUCK!? (Help, technical!!!)

PROBLEM, someone HELP!

I saved in-game, turned off the game and restarted the comp. I load the save, AND CRASH TO DESKTOP! Just a silly "Sorry" from Windows with lots of technical data that I WISH someone could take care of!!!

This has happened EIGHT times. Two saves. I - NEED - HELP.

Start a new campaign, start the patrol, save it, exit the patrol and see if you can load the save game. If that works, well, then most likely your other save games are broken. Then try to load an in-port save of your ongoing campaign.

I have had this happen to me when I had ''saved'' in the middle of a patrol. when this happens, I am usually able to go back to the last time I was in port and pick it up from there.

Before I exit, I always:

1. SAVE, with a unique name for the savepoint.

2. Return to the game, press ESC, then SAVE & EXIT and name the savepoint DELETE.

When I return, I never return to the DELETE savepoint.

Using the above method, I've never had a problem with a saved game since I've been playing SH3.

Yuepp, but that is very frustrating when you're on a patrol to the Caribbean!!! ARgh!

The problem is exactly like yours. Started a new career, saved, exit, loaded, BAbUUUM nuffING...

Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I don't know what causes it, but it is bloody annoying. As soon as I leave port, I save the game and exit. I then reload the save. If it works, then it will the rest of the patrol. If it doesn't, then I haven't lost much. Other than that I don't know what else to recommend.
