Default Contact Reports

Do you still get contact reports plotted on the map with RUB?

I'm on patrol and I haven't had a single ship plotted on the map during my patrol which i'm 6 days into.

Does RUB change this?

Hi,

Yes you do, taken from the RUb 1.44 Readme......

Recommended Settings

For the most realistic simulation experience, it's recommended that players leave "No Map Contact Update" UNCHECKED. In this version of the mod the map contacts are shown on the in a subdued way so that players only get a general idea of the contact - as much as the hydrophone operator would be able to give the commander.

Using this setting i get updates

no, what you get is a contact and a direction eg NWN but the contact icon doesn't have a "tail" on it giving the exact course.

This gives you a contact but you have to patrol and area to find it
