Hi Guys.
I have loaded SH3 and the official patch correctly, also the Rub 1.43 mod. but my crews fatigue reduces and when I slow the rate to x16 they do not increase on the fatigue level. They still reduce if on station but do not increase when at "rest". I now have a sub. in which no one can do anything becuase they are all knackered. I don't want to use the "no fatigue" mod. Any suggestions before I get sunk by a fishing boat. John. |

The thing is with Rub 1.43 crew never "recover" when you put them in "rest-areas". They will only stop being more fatigued. This mod is trying to simulate combat stress and this will be better and better after just a few patrols.
You have to be careful how you use yor men and only use them when they are needed. All other situations they should be in "resting compartements" My experience is that this mod can feel strange in the beginning, but after a while it works nice and crew management is not so needed anylonger. Important is to get qualifications to your officers and petty officers. That's a good medicine! I think there is about 100+ posts in this forum discussing + and - about this feature. Try the search function and look whats written if you want to learn more about it. I also recommend the "Read me" file in Rub 1.43. Good luck |

Hi Rulle 34.
Thanks for that. I will do as you suggest but I have been using SH3 for a while and suffered a hard disc failure requiring a replacement. I re-loaded all the bits and pieces and am now confronted with a problem I have never experienced before having loaded all the same stuff. I have a comepletey exhausted crew and it seems my only option will be to start my campaign again. John. |

This happened to me on my first RUb patrol as well. After patrolling my grid my crew were exhausted to the point I could no longer reload torpedoes. I just exitted the patrol , returned to base and started the next patrol with much better crew management and endurance. All is good so far.

Hi guys.
I accept what you say about better management of the crew but this is not possible. A crew member needs rest, I put him in the "rest" area and his fatigue level doesn't change. It neither goes up NOR down, it is impossible to rest the crew to refresh them. John. |

That's the idea apparently.
Anyway, for the next version of "Improved U-Boat" I've just gotten rid of the fatigue completely. I can't actually see the point of it, from either a realism or gameplay perspective. |

I disabled that feature a long time ago. I just place the crew
in the best spots and forget them. I want to turn ALL my efforts to hunting and sinking the enemy merchants and avoiding their ship & air patrols.... JIM

Hi guys.
It looks like I will have to do the same but I do feel it takes away something from what is the very best simulation there is on the market. John. |
