Any new crew models coming? The current 3D models are horrible.

I dunno Beery, in years to come they may have significant kitsch value.

OK! Here we go, new skins up at http://silenthuntermod.realsimulation.com/
Naturaly!

Gotta fix a few contrast bits but otherwise good to go. I managed to make a white captains hat, but unfortunately all the officers wear it. I am looking into the file structure to add the 01_off.... structure so they can wear both. Sorry no pics yet still trying to suss out a website...

Let me know what ye think.

I like these a lot!

In the future, might we see a texture that adds coveralls, like seen in this picture of Otto Kretschmer?

Not unless we can adjust the 3D models. Currently, the 3D models are built for a more modern day dress style (low waists and tight trousers) and look horrible compared to 1940s dress styles. The higher waist of the coveralls and the baggyness of the trousers can't be modelled using the current 3D crew models. The biggest reason the crew uniforms look wrong is the 3D model - change that, and the crew will start to look like WW2 U-boat crewmen rather than a bunch of guys wearing 1970s army fatigues.

Check it out:

Having finally had the chance to compare the files with the existing copies, I am impressed.

Can these be installed by the mod enabler or do they need to be transferred manually?

Cheers and thank you.

That's what I suspected would be the problem. Hopefully some day we will be able to change this; otherwise, they will continue to not look right.

Would not the Sanchal's new model installer do the trick?
